City of Guelph has 300 Trees to Give Away!

 In Home Care Tips

Have you lost trees in your yard from the recent storms that have passed through our area?

The City of Guelph received a 2013 TD Green Streets program grant. This funding is helping to increase Guelph’s tree canopy coverage through tree plantings and education. You can help increase our urban forest by participating in the Adopt-a-Tree Program.

Free trees, watering bags, mulch mats and care instructions are available to the first 300 people to register for the Adopt-a-Tree Program. Available tree species (1.5m-1.8m/5-6 feet) are well suited to urban conditions. If you’ve lost a special tree this year, have older or Ash trees on your property, or just want to add a new tree to your yard, this is the perfect opportunity to plant and nourish a new tree.
